Bekanntlich müssen ab dem 01. November 2014 EU-weit alle Neuwagen über elektronische Reifendruckkontrollsysteme – kurz RDKS – verfügen. Hintergrund ist die Tatsache, dass die Bereifung als direkte Verbindung zwischen Auto und Straße von den meisten Autofahrern sträflich vernachlässigt wird. Etwa drei Viertel aller Reifenpannen sind die unmittelbare Folge schleichenden Druckabfalls wegen mangelnder Kontrolle – Mit MaxSensor können Autounfälle stark reduziert werden. Genau an dieser Stelle findet derzeit erneut eine kleine Revolution statt.
Unter dem Namen MaxSensor vertreiben die Nordlichter in Bad Segeberg RDKS-Diagnose- und -Programmiergeräte sowie RDKS-programmierbare Reifendrucksensoren für alle Automarken. Gerade jetzt, wo wieder einmal der Wechsel von Sommer- auf Winterbereifung ansteht, sollten sich zumindest diejenigen mit dem Thema befassen, die ohnehin neue Pneus aufziehen müssen. Technisch wird das Problem wie folgt gelöst: Bei der Montage von neuen Reifen wird auf das Ventil ein batteriebetriebener (Standzeit ca. fünf bis sieben Jahre) etwa 1-Euro-großer Drucksensor fachmännisch eingeschraubt, der den Luftdruck und die Reifentemperatur zusammen mit einem Indentifikator in gewissen Intervallen über Funk an ein RDKS-Modul, das wiederum sowohl schleichende als auch schnelle Druckverluste erkennt und dementsprechend einen Warnhinweis gibt.
Benötigt werden neben den Sensoren ein zu deren Aktivierung notwendiges Programmiergerät sowie das eigentliche Diagnosegerät für die Installation im Inneren des Fahrzeugs.

MaxSensor – tire pressure sensors for all car brands and models!!!
As generally known, since November 1st, 2014 all kind of new cars must be equipped by electronic tire pressure monitoring systems – in short tpms – all over the EU. The background for it is the fact that the tires as directly connecting link between car and road are let slide by most of the car drivers. About three of four of all tire blowouts are immediate result of creeping air pressure loss because of failing tire pressure survey. MaxSensor allows to reduce vigorously the number of car accidents for this reason. Even this is actually the place of a new little revolution.
Under the name of MaxSensor, the “Northern lights” at Bad Segeberg, Germany, offer TPMS techniques for programming and tire diagnostics, but also TPMS programmable tire pressure sensors for all car brands. Even now, when time has come again to change summer against winter tires, at least those should attend this topic, who have to purchase new tires any way. There is not only the safety-related aspect to consider, but there are also clearly economically related terms issuing, because the tire pressure affects sensibly tire lifetime and fuel consumption.
The technical solution of the problem is as follows: When mounting the new tire the mounting specialist will screw a battery powered pressure sensor (lifetime about five to seven years) with the size of a one Euro coin upon the valve, transmitting tire pressure and temperature together with an identifier via radio to a TPMS module, which in its turn recognizes creeping and/or sudden air loss and gives corresponding warning notice.
Besides the sensors you need a programming device for sensor activation and the diagnostic device itself to be installed inside the car.
